The story
Madrid, Shrove Tuesday 1930. On Calle de Carretas, where the Gaceta was printed for a century and a half, the Gran Hotel Poymar celebrates its opening with a masked ball. Don Rafael Soler, one of its partners, is saving the surprise of the night: when the masks come off at midnight, he will announce a theatre bearing the name of Albéniz, to open with an opera by the maestro that nobody has ever heard.
But when the masks come off, Don Rafael is nowhere to be seen. He is found on the mezzanine, among the furniture of the exhibition, and the score is gone.
Six masks. A lost opera. You have until the orchestra plays the last waltz.
- Two actors who never break character: Commissioner Beltrán leads the investigation and Tino, the cloakroom waiter, knows more than he says.
- Six masked suspects: Columbine, Harlequin, the Lady in White, Pierrot, the Black Domino and the Devil.
- An evidence folder per team and a phone to solve it, with the ranking on the screen. Once solved, each team opens its box and joins the final race across the room: only one recovers the score.
- At the end, the accusation, the case report and a photocall.
